The Bank Manager
An interesting story has popped up in the South Wales Echo about a Bank Manager who failed to set up a customers life insurance policy. The manager, working at the Abbey National, assured his customer that the policy was accepted before it was processed. Unfortunately, the policy was eventually rejected by Abbey National.
To cut a long story short, the manager ended up covering up his mistake by paying the £175-a-month cover from his own pocket! In total £4,200 was stolen from the bank, in addition to £2,100 from the manager’s own funds.
