The darker side of Wales

Wales isn’t all hillsides and beauty. There are parts of our country, as with all, which don’t make it into calendars, onto postcards or into holiday brochures. But, with a skillful photographer, even the uglier side of Wales can be made visually appealing.

On the Fourier Transform website, tucked away in a little corner of their server, is a great photo-blog showcasing photographs from a guy called Simon.

This photo (click) shows exactly how you can take something ugly and mundane and turn it into a great photograph.

For more great photographs from Simon, take a look at his Parallel Wales sub-site in which he presents us with a portfolio of photographs of towns such as Bangor, Cardiff, Newport, Llandaff, Neath and Narbeth. But wait, these are all towns in America! It’s fascinating to see photographs of the American versions of Welsh towns and cities.

Thanks for that link. I visited Cardiff in Pennsylvania around 2 years ago.
