Okay, so the US don’t have an embassy in Wales but they do have a ‘Welsh Affairs‘ office in Cardiff.

They inform us that: “Ties between Wales and the United States have always been strong, whether judged by distinguished individuals (such as the 16 signers of the Declaration of Independence and 11 U.S. Presidents who were of Welsh descent) or bilateral ties (currently approximately 180 American companies employ over 30,000 people)“.
