Pot Noodle
I haven’t seen it yet but there’s supposed to be a funny new Pot Noodle advert on TV involving Welsh Miners! It was mentioned quite a few times to me in work today.
Keep an eye out for it. As soon as I find it online I’ll post a link - unless any of you already know of a link.

I heard someone complaining bitterly on the radio about this ad - saying it was racist etc. I then was intrigued to hear someone speaking on behalf of the company that make Pot Noodle saying that it was actually made in Wales. Apparently, the ad came about from a suggestion made by some of the workers at that factory and they actually appear in the ad. It amused me that some of them were actually miners before they began work at the Pot Noodle Factory.

i took part in the filming of the new pot noodle adds i played a southern fried chicken miner and i can truly say that in the 4 days we were at the wakefield mining museum there was not one comment about any kind of racist subject and there were about 30 welsh men there who work in the pot noodle factory and not a one of them said hay wait a minute that sounds like a racist advert we all just thought it was a good laugh, so i can not understand what all the fuss is about…cheers…gary

If the workers in the ad are Welsh then I’ll take my hat off to them. I married a welsh girl 20 yrs ago and love her more each day I,m a Brummie, a sarcastic ba***rd. My then girlfriend had no sense of humour, she got used to me and my piss taking family, grannies inc she also loves the advert, but surprisingly her family (who still live in Wales) do not.
The ad works, it sells the product remember taffs, you take the piss out of your best friend, you blank your foes.

please sign our petition to save the pot noodle factory in crumlin southwales ,It is the only factory who makes pot noodle’s in the world .

Job’s are set to be axed at crumlin’s pot noodle factory which employs over 200 people . The crumlin factory opened in 1979 is the only manufacturing plant in wales ,produces all unilever pot noodles products and its stafff featured in a high profile television advertisement campaign . Unilever is a important employee in the valley and we are concerned about the future of the local people and there familys . The workforce are tremendous and very hard working employees . Please help us keep the potnoodle factory open .

My Mum was on an advert for Wales, she said it was aired either 1978 or 1979. Does anyone know anything about it or have a link? Would really like to see it and send it to her.
