High Winds Hit Wales Once Again
Causing wide-spread damage throughout the country, high winds once again blew across Wales with a vengence. Damage was reported in Conwy, Cardiff and points in between. 80,000 homes and businesses lost power with Powys and South Wales taking the brunt of things (74 mph gusts in The Mumbles and Anglesey. Train and road travel has been disrupted due to flooding and travelers are warned to expect delays and cancellations. Will the bad weather stop? Forecasts say yes, but rain and wind will continue Friday.
