Underground Motorways?
Treehugger, the green blog, is an interesting site to watch if you’re environmentally-aware or just like to see what’s new in modern-thinking. From green fuels and clothing to the best bikes to have and food to eat, Treehugger is the place to see it all.
One of the latest posts on the site shows us an Austrian architect’s view of the motorway/highway of the future. No more ugly grey-black strips across the countryside, we now should be looking at building them underground. Not only does the idea hide the road but it also reduces the noise and enables a more efficient use of the land (important in our small country!).
