Burberry Battle Heats Up
The latest on the Burberry situation is politics. Claiming the fight to keep the factory in Treorchy is causing Wales to look less appealing to business wishing to invest in Wales, CBI Wales director David Rosser seemed to feel attracting new business to Wales would be a bit more difficult because of the ongoing issues surrounding the Burberry plant closure at the end of March. Rhondda AM, Leighton Andrews, expressed his opinion of Mr. Rosser’s remarks by saying, in part, “I think what was said by the director of CBI Wales was frankly ignorant and ill-judged.”
