Smoking Ban Revisited
Well, as expected, many Welsh pubs aren’t ready for the new smoking ban that’s due to go into effect next month. BBC contacted 100 establishments in Wales and found that only 69 felt they were set to implement the ban. The biggest challenge comes from creating an envrionment that will make regular customers who smoke comfortable in the great outdoors.
Wales in basically blazing ground by putting the ban in place three months ahead of England.

…while we were fodder in Scotland over a year ago! Not much of an improvement up here, shelters not allowed to be constructed if they gave anybody the least chance of withstanding the elements.
They are all set to resist the ban in England both by defiance in Bolton (the Swan), Blackpool (the Happy Scot) Hereford and with a show of ‘international solidarity’.
