Oystermouth Castle Upgrade
In a topic near and dear to my heart (namely castles), there’s a move afoot to upgrade Oystermouth Castle. The City and County of Swansea officials are looking for funding to pay for the upgrade which would contribute to the preservation of the existing structure, enhance visitor experience and improve access. So far they’ve submitted an application for grant money from the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Council and Cadw will also kick in financial support.
The Council is looking at a £1.7 million bill for the project, and you can offer your comments via completion of an online survey, by calling into Oystermouth Library or contacting Swansea Council’s Culture and Tourism Department.
For a wee bit more information take a look at Swansea’s website.
