Well, My Question May be Answered.
Well, in part at least.
It seems the Connaught Motor Company plans to bring in a new sports car plant and global offices to Llanelli and Amazon is putting in a huge distribution centre, offices and roads in the Fabian Way area. Amazon reckins to hire some 1,200 full-time jobs with an additional 1,500 possible during the pre-Christmas season. Jobs will range from warehouse workers to IT people. They are hoping to be geared up and running by Christmas this year.
The folks at Connaught figure to bring in research and manufacturing of their Type D hybrid sports car and look to add 200 jobs to the area.
Needless to say these two announcements were welcomed by all and sundry with the typical responses you’d expect from the various politicians. It is indeed good economic news for Swansea and surrounding locales.
