Ex-pats Will be Greeted This Year
Well, after last year’s fiasco of bad press and hurt feelings, organizers of this year’s Eisteddfod have apparently decided alienating all the ex-pats was not the best way to garner support. So, according to the editor of Yr Enfys, Welsh people living outside Wales will once again be part of the welcoming ceremonies of the National Eisteddfod. The current plan is to reinstate the official welcome to ex-pats with the Archdruid inviting the leader of Cymru A’r Byd to the stage prior to the Gorsedd Ceremony.
Now, if they’ll address last year’s ground surface issues that made walking so difficult and so severely impacted the ability of handicapped visitors to get around, this will, once again, be the Eisteddfod we all look forward to and enjoy.

I, for one, am very pleased that the ceremony is to be re-instated.
