The ever popular blow-up sheep has now ventured into the world of sport as they become jockeys in the Llandudno annual donkey derby.

Unfortunately, this year insurers had refused to insure the event so the usual jockeys, local children, were unable to take part. The derby has been held for the past 39 years with children as jockeys without major injury but this year marks the end of that era.

The event which is organised by Llandudno Rugby Club went ahead without the usual jockeys and was nevertheless a success.
