Henson Out Again? And Jones Too? Oh groan!!!
Was he ever back in? This hasn’t been a stellar year for Gavin what with all the ingrown toenails and all, but I guess he’s down for the count now with an Achilles injury - not something to mess with. It’s a pity as he’s an excellent player and at such a young age I would hate to see him off the field permanently. So here’s wishing Henson a full recovery.
And of course, my personal favorite player, Stephen Jones, is out with a nasty groin injury that looks to be a torn muscle. Stephen has such a positive impact on the Wales players that I’m sure he’ll be sorely missed in the upcoming Test against England. Thankfully Hook will be playing and that should make for a good Wales side, to be sure.
And finally, it looks like the Ospreys have pulled a great pool for the Heineken Cup this year and will start off against Bourgoin 10/11. You can get a the full schedule of play here.
It’s shaping up to be potentially a great year for the Ospreys and Wales on the rygbi front. Having been rygbi-less now for a month or two (due to my location), I’m well into the tortures of rygbi withdrawal. Somehow reading about it just isn’t quite the same!
