Back on the Rygbi Front
Well, even Alun Jones agrees Wales could have done a lot better on last weekend’s test. ‘It wasn’t good enough,” he said ”We’ve got high standards and we are bitterly disappointed with the way it went. We didn’t live up to our own expectations - the scoreline makes that more clear than words ever could.” (quoted from an article in the Evening Post).
Yes I think I would agree with that. :O(
Meanwhile Jenkins, in an effort to recoup public opinion after our crushing defeat, has reassured us that his team will do a better job in the Australia match.
“What we want is for the Welsh public to believe and trust us and have faith in us, because there’s a lot more to come out of this Welsh team, I’m sure you’ll see a different reaction when you see our performances at home against France and Argentina.”
Yes, Gareth. Let’s hope so.
In a valiant effort to cover his, in my opinion, poor choice of players and obvious lack of forethought for that particular match, Jenkins continued “I didn’t feel Twickenham was the place to show our hand,” he said.
Is he serious?!! Come on Gareth get real! You should know better - any match against England is the place to show our hand.
Enough said.
