Oh Ych-y-fi!
Isn’t this a pretty little thing?
Aw, just look at that cute little face…..
How could anyone NOT like such a creature?
Well, here in the States we avoid them like the plague. And here’s why…..
There I was last night (or is it this morning) at 1:00 a.m. happily snapping bubbles in Dave’s bloody addictive bubble wrap snapping game when I heard a huge crash against the bedroom wall. Deciding to investigate, I was just about to open the door when I smelled it. The unmistakable, undesirable, unwanted, unneeded and to-be-avoided-at-any-cost scent of SKUNK. Well, you can bet your bottom dollar there was no way I was going out that door.
Unfortunately for me the stupid thing seems to have gotten upset with the air conditioning duct system and sprayed it. Joy of Joys, 100F/42C weather and I can’t run the blasted air conditioner because it pumps in the skunk smell, full force. How it managed to get the spray inside the duct work is beyond me. But it did and I’m doomed. Doomed to my remaining time in the U.S. living in the hell of North State heat with no air conditioning and smelling of skunk. If I didn’t want to move to Wales before, I sure would now!!!
And wasn’t it just two weeks ago that my nephew’s dog got skunked? She’s still to be avoided. And my sister’s dog got it two months ago. No one wants to hug him any more. :O(
I may or may not miss a lot of things whilst living in Wales. But one thing I will NEVER miss are skunks!

Interesting, we are the same about “Smokers” over here.

By “Smokers” do you mean people who smoke or is that some other animal? *asks Arwen feeling clueless* :O)

What do you think of the new statue of Owain Glyndwr in Corwen?

Hard to say. I hadn’t seen the original. Looks nice in the photos though, Nick. I’ll have to head up that way and have a look.
