Best Online Community!

Best Online CommunityI’m offline for a couple of days and when I return I find out that ForumWales has won the Best Online Community award in this year’s Welsh Blog Awards!!!

This is fantastic news! Many thanks to all those who voted for us. Our thanks also go to the Welsh Blog Awards for setting up the awards and getting things going.

I’m not sure if I should give a huge ‘Oscar’-type acceptance speech with tears and heart-felt thanks to all - hmm, better not be too over dramatic. But I would like to thank all the Members of ForumWales for making FW what it is today and a special thank you to Arwen and SiopyBont for their active support of the Forum and the support which they give to other members.

“thank you to Arwen and SiopyBont for their active support of the Forum and the support which they give to other members.”

Forum Wales won because Forum Wales is Good Arwen who never lets me get away with a missing mutation, and Ann who makes sure the best word is chosen even if we’d rather go haywire! Then, there are the others who keep our Welsh af least readable. Dafydd who straightens us out and runs . (I think he is afreaid we will find out how good he is.) Aled who kows more languages than there are on Planet Earth, JJ who pitches in when all others have gone vacationing - and keeps North Wales in the spot light. All of our Aussies who are teaching us about the great land under, our Canadian friends who are indeed the most generous people I ever met . (They just downed our temperature by 30 degrees (Brrrrrr).

More? I don’t know about any one else but my greatest joy comes form those who post interesting stories in perfect Welsh at “Lle I Siarad Cymraeg Yn Unig” which I can then spend a day or two exploring. Just Chat? An encyclopedic gold mine.

Anything else? David says not to get overly dramatic. Hmmmm?????????? Well, I think we forgot the one who made it all possible - David! Three cheers, Dave!

Ah, it is not exactly Kosher to single out just a few when everyone has contributed. So, my thanks to all who brighten my day. Many thanks to all of you, as David said. I think of you as family. Hazel

And, OH DEAR, how did I forget Mwnwy!!!!! I apologise deeply and blame it on a fogged brain, result of some vague traveling. Thank you, Mynwy! You are also great! Hazel

  5. Ann Says:

Thanks for your kind comments, Hazel and many thanks David for making all this possible. But do you know who should take pride of place? Everyone worldwide who wants to learn Welsh and learn more about Wales and is willing to put up with my oddities. Congratulations one and all. Llongyfarchiadau.
