Well I’ve Done It….
I’ve bought my first car in Wales and I am absolutely chuffed to bits! It was a semi-new experience because let’s face it, buying a car pretty much entails the same things regardless of where you do it. But it was quite fun to be given the opportunity to pick my license plate number (well, a part of it anyway) and I’m now happily awaiting my new red KA Style Climate with its Welsh plates.
To add to my joy was the successful negotiation, during the test drive, of two very busy roundabouts without a) hitting anything or anybody and b) without making anyone mad. AND I found the dealership all by myself with only one turn around, one missed exit and one dead end - well it wasn’t really a dead end. It was a one way exit only bus lane at the end of a regular residential street. I still can’t figure out how I got there.
Now, to fully understand the thrill of this, you have to realize that I have a remarkable propensity for getting myself into difficult vehicle-related situations. I have probably found every dead end street in Swansea by this time, and in addition to a fear of another parking ticket, I generally live in dread of driving into a dead end with no turn around space thereby having to back all the way up a street and turn around in the first intersection whilst still staying on the proper side of the road. So any time I can manage a journey without doing this I’m one very happy camper!
Why only yesterday I started off to find Neath Road and wound up at MacDonalds on Fabian Way. Haven’t a clue how I did that but I now know how to get through town using Carmarthen Road, the most direct route to the Mall, and where to find a hamburger.
What more could a girl want? :O)

Hi, Arwen! Llongyfarchiadau!
I went and looked up your car on the web. Looks very cute, and just the right size for zipping around all the little back roads in Wales.
Funny thing, when I plugged the name of the car into Google, the first hit that came up was your post on Adenydd Celtaidd!
