Time to Play
If you’ve got a bit of free time on your hands over Christmas, give Wheelhouse Creative’s game site a go. It’s great fun and sadly addictive. One of my all time favorite Flash games is Toaster (about halfway down the page). You’d think the music would get annoying after a bit but it doesn’t. This one takes a lot of concentration and hand/eye coordination. The idea is you try and catch the toast as it flies out of the toaster. Sound easy? Think again.
Another good one if you like gore and stress relief is Stresskilla. Put the puppet man in the blender if you want some really good red stuff.
If you like something a bit less ych-y-fi there’s Klax3D. This one is absolutely addictive and will keep you and Uncle Harry busy for hours. :O)
Feeling in the holiday spirit? Try out Santa’s Little Helper. Seems easy but you’ll be surprised at how many trees you hit. This is a good game for the kids - unfortunately it’s also on the same page as the guy you can throw in the blender so……
You can get your very own copy of Elf Bowling from this website. This was very popular a couple of years ago and made the email rounds. Unfortunately a rumor started that it harboured a virus and that put an end to it which was a real shame. But as this site says, check out the Symantec site (they give the URL on the site) and run your own scan before installing. It’s well worth it as it’s a lot of fun to play.
Rather read? According to the Welsh libraries, the top 10 books in Swansea this year are:
1. A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
2. The Snowman by Raymond Briggs
3. How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr Seuss
4. The Night Before Christmas by Clement C. Moore
5. Delia Smith’s Christmas by Delia Smith
6. The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg
7. The Nutcracker by ETA Hoffman
8. Letters from Father Christmas by J.R.R Tolkien
9. Miracle on 34th Street by Valentine Davies
10. A Child’s Christmas in Wales by Dylan Thomas
And finally, if you want to be out and about in my neck of the woods, the Christmas in Swansea website might be of help in deciding what to do.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all of us at ForumWales!
