I’m delighted to report that scrum-half Justin Marshall has decided to remain with the Ospreys. Signing an extension on his contract, he said, “The team treat me well, I’m managed well. The Ospreys are fantastic.”.
Of course I couldn’t agree more!
Needless to say, Kevin Hopkins was pleased, stating “We are delighted that a player of […]

In keeping with the rygbi theme (and hating to come down off the cloud I’ve been on since Saturday past), it seems Gareth Jenkins won’t hesitate to replace benched Captain Stephen Jones with James Hook in the half-fly position for World Cup play.
Stopping short of removing Jones as captain, Jenkins went on to say “Stephen […]

Wel, yfory dyn ni’n chwarae Lloegr. Fydd Stephen Jones ddim yn chwarae. Ond bydd James Hook yn gwisgo rhif 10 a bydd Gareth Thomas yn chwarae yn ei le; y canol. Fel dyn ni’n gwybod, Gareth Thomas yw capten.
Pob lwc i chi, llanciau!!

Should be an interesting match - especially in view of today’s announcement that a fractured wrist will sideline Stephen Jones for the next several weeks. After leading the team to four losses, I expect in spite of a painful wrist, he might be just a tad relieved to be out of the hot seat […]

Well I think we all know the answer to that one! Let’s see, I counted no less than two penalties against Italy in the second half ALONE that should have been called - right in front of the ref. What was he blind? And what about that hit to Stephen Jones? […]

Stephen Jones, in his first year Captaining Wales in Six Nations has taken some heavy hits from the press after the Wales-Scotland face off on the 10th. “The criticism is frustrating from a personal aspect and from a team perspective,” remarked Jones.
But he’ll be getting some help for the remainder of the 2007 […]

The BBC Sport rugby journalists have created their dream 6 Nations team taking what they consider to be the best players in the competition this year.
Wales gets 3 players into the dream team: Dwayne Peel (9), Gethin Jenkins (1) and Ryan Jones (8).
First match of the year is on Saturday and Wales gets their first […]

Deja vu! Last year Gavin Henson, this year Garth Thomas. Yep, that’s right, one of our top flight lads is out for 4 weeks due to bad behaviour. Apparently he couldn’t keep himself to himself with rowdy fans. Sadly, BBC reports it is his last Six Nations so it’s something of […]
