The powers-that-be in Swansea are ready to begin the City Centre Core Retail Area remodel, so be prepared to deal with some inconvenience as they repave streets throughout the city centre. It’s happened. Despite the valiant battle by the workers, Burberry’s Treorchy factory has closed its doors for the last time.
The factory has been operating the Rhondda Valley for the past 60 years but today Burberry ceased to operate in South Wales as the site was no longer considered ‘commercially viable’.

The Neath Port Talbot planning commission has now given its OK to plans for a new warehouse, some offices and new roads off Fabian Way on the old Delta Compton site. Hoping to bring 1,500 jobs to the area, the distribution point warehouse will run round the clock and employ about 350 people.
