Picking just one is nearly impossible so here is my top 10 list:

-Lord of the Rings Part 1 (yeah, I know, everyone loves LotR)
-Withnail & I (Cult-Classic from the 80s)
-Pride & Prejudice (BBC-Adaption with Colin Firth)
-Sense & Sensibility (with Emma Thompson, Kate Winslet, Alan Rickman)
-North & South (another BBC Period Drama with Richard Armitage)
-Hornblower: Mutiny and Retribution (starring the gorgeous Welshman Ioan Gruffudd)
- Much Ado about nothing (with Kenneth Branagh and Emma Thompson)
- King Arthur
- Breakfast at Tiffanys
- Love... actually

Hey, I'm a girl. Can't blame me for this!

That's an easy one :-) : What the bleep do we know?! I bought it on DVD and have seen it at about 9 times now. It always makes me smile.

For me it's a bridge between my two - opposite- worlds: science and "religion". Although, religion isn't exactly the word I want to use.... but 'new age' isn't also completely right :? Maybe I should say: my personal philosophy.
In fact there's only one thing that I really believe in: the power of the human mind, and that's one of the things the movie wants to tell about (in my opinion).
They tell that every human being creates his/her own reality, and I believe that this is right.

"Anne of Green Gables" and the sequel....based on the books by L. M. Montgomery. They are set and filmed on Prince Edward Island, Canada.
The films are true to the books.

And "Fiddler on the Roof" because it has everything....love, hate, joy, duty, laughter and tears.......
I love the songs too.

Being a Canuck I can only agree with your choice of Anne of Green Gables. They are now filming a new series based on her books of our dear Annie. Hope you get it as well since it looks just as good as the original two. Love Anne!

Favourite Films

Hard to choose but I would have to plump the 1950's version of ' 12 Angry Men ' for the sheer quality of the script and acting. Runners-up are the original version of ' The Wicker Man ' with Edward Woodward which, to me, has the iconic final shot the Sun disappearing under the horizon, and finally, ' Into The West ' a modern Irish/Celtic fantasy about the land of Tir Na Nog.

If I can only have one, then it would have to be The Sea Hawk, starring Errol Flynn. Brilliant swashbuckler and propaganda film at the beginning of the Second World War.

If I can have one or two more, A Matter of Life and Death, with David Niven
The Vikings with Kirk Douglas and Tony Curtis
and Seven Samurai (I sat down to watch this for the first time thinking: "It's long, black and white, and in Japanese - I'm only watching it because I like the Magnificent Seven," and by the time I was twenty minutes in, I was entranced and delighted!)
There are three things from God: peace, truth and knowledge; and, knowing them, it is the duty of all to communicate them to others.
