Presumed Consent

I just want to guage what people think about "presumed consent".

Whilst I can see some 'logic' behind the idea, no, personally I'm not in favour.
In my opinion, presuming anything is, always has been, and always will be, a risky business. Presumption in itself is the act of taking something as fact despite lack of evidence - surely a dodgy thing to do in even a minor situation, let alone circumstances as great as the ones involved in this issue.
