Not to worry about it, Dafydd. It is just my denseness. I cannot do part of a quote. As I said elsewhere, no one knows everything. I just think I do. Correction: I like to pretend I do. I know better.

Not so. I can do it when I do not change anything. It is when I want only part of your letter that I get into trouble. On that one this morning, I tried to eliminate all except that one line. I thought I went above a "quote" but it didn't work.

Ah well. I can boil water - most of the time.

Hazel, if you quote a post like I have and follow these instructions.

1) Put your cursor after the first lot of brackets.

2) Delete until you come to the sentence you want. Stop.

3) Put the cursor after the next quote in brackets. Continue to delete the rest of the post if you want to do so.

Any clearer, Hazel?

There you are. If the difficult doesn't work, try the easy. Thank you, Dafydd.

Now, that will work if you are ony copying one quote. To copy two different quotes, do I just refer back to the original in the part below where I am writing this?

Ah well. I can boil water - most of the time

????? ??????? I forgot to say thank you. :(
