Bob, I've removed a few of your posts here and I've edited one. We have asked that no animated images/avatars be used on the forum so I removed the animated image in one of your posts. (Please see site rules.)

I removed several of the redundant images. I realize that you are practicing so you can upload files but each of these takes up database space so, since you had successfully uploaded the same image several times, I felt you had probably gotten the technique down pat and so I removed the excess.

I also downsized one image you had which was far too large, both physically and in weight for the forum display.

Hi Arwen,
Thanks I had already asked the question regarding the ability to delete our posts in the test area.

Is it not possible to have a delete button on each post, the same as we have in other forums?

I like messing about with digital photos, and I don't always get things right, for instance once I had seen that the photos I had uploaded didn't do as I expected I would have deleted straight away!

Regards

Bob
PS
How do YOU down size images, ?
Have a nice day, Regards Bob

Hi Bob,

You can delete posts until another has been posted after it in the thread. When that happens only I, Sioni or Dave can delete posts. If that happens and you want a post deleted, just drop one of us a note and we'll take care of it. (I guess I missed your question about deleting them.) Best to send that kind of note to either Dave or myself as Sioni isn't around much.

I use Adobe PhotoShop to downsize photos. It's a tad pricey so unless it's worth the cost to you, I'd suggest PaintShopPro. Much cheaper and does an equally good job as PhotoShop. I used to use PSP but because of the nature of my work I need to have PS. So I switched.

I love the snow scene - and that very, very handsome dog. 8)

That is what we are being promised for Thanksgiving - snow, not dog. Would be more fun with dog.

So typical of our weather. The ice stopped. The rain stopped. Our temperature climbed to 70°. Still warm this morning at 47°. They got ice much worse in Indiana.

Don't forget that you can add more by using something like the following:

Code: Select all
One two three
which gives:
David wrote:One two three

as opposed to:
Code: Select all
One two three
which gives:
One two three

So, we actually type the:
part when we pick more than one part of a post to respond to. Right?

Now, is it possible to quote more than one person? I've seen those but wondered how it was done. If two people post notes, can I copy and quote from each in one letter?

Thanks.

If you hit the QUOTE button in somebody's post, it will by default quote the whole post. You can then delete the parts you don't want before posting your message.

Just don't delete the [ quote] and
from your message - including the brackets.

Example:

Code: Select all
This is the quoted text
gives you this:

This is the quoted text

but if you'd accidentally deleted a ], like below

Code: Select all
This is the quoted text[/quote

you'd just get:
This is the quoted text[/quote
